The purpose of this standard is to establish for self-contained, mechanically-refrigerated drinking water coolers: definitions, testing, rating and performance requirements. This standard applies to self-contained, mechanically-refrigerated drinking-water coolers as defined in 3.1, including the types in 3.1.1 through 3.1.5.
