For more than ten years, trade journals have been flooded with interesting articles discussing problems with and solutions for variable flow air and water systems. Many issues are encompassed: how to control the related variable speed drives; where to locate the differential pressure (DP) control sensor; and whether or not to use balancing valves. The best control solutions require a good knowledge of all three issues.
