The City of Kennewick's Water Filtration Plant (WFP) treats water from theColumbia River. Eachconstruction phase included startup, operator training, and modification of operatingstrategies to accommodate new systems, chemicals, and reporting requirements to theWashington State Department of Health (DOH).This poster paper focuses on the operating strategies, procedures, and activitiesassociated with the major process changes required when integrating submergedmembrane technology into a conventional water treatment plant.
