Full Description

Many different biological, physical, and chemical unit processes are employed by wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), andthe likely wide range of treated water qualities may affect downstream drinking water suppliesdifferently. The objective of this study was to evaluate the contribution of treated wastewater to disinfection byproduct (DBP)formation in a drinking water supply, including sample sites that were used as takes from the river fordownstream drinking water treatment plants (WTPs), with a case study of a river impacted by effluent organic matter (EfOM) with a focus on the fate-and-transport of EfOM, DBPs and their precursors. Includes 30 references, tables, figures.
